Some news...
Maija got her Ch title 13.1.2010 from Kajaani International Dog show. Judge was Anca Giura. She was also Bob and got the CACIB.
Our Misty was Best veteran and she was 2.best bitch. Way to go girls!!
We are also waiting puppies. This litter will be Maija´s first and Toldi´s first in Nordic countries. Watch more "Planned litters". Puppies should born soon...

Ladies´trial 2009
Maija won this competition and got open class 1. prize with points 97/100. So Maija is the youngest vizsla ever in Finland who can take part to the winner class. Maija also won Ladies´trial 2009 title. Ladies´ trial is competition to all ladies with continental pointing dog. This year there was 42 competitors.
Here is judges critique:
Excellent hunt, searches the area in an efficient straightforward manner. Full gallop. Brilliant hunt leads to three identical encounters with game. Steady point, appropriate flushing of the bird and completely calm on shot. Retrieves two shot pheasants. Retrieves are impeccable apart from the fact that the dog does not sit but drops the bird on the owner's feet.

15.10.2008 Junkkari and Hunting
This autumn has gone so fast as we have travelled all over Finland with our dogs. Of course we had to work during week days but on weekends we were off and spent most of our time wearing rubber boots. Fortunately our whole flock is willing to be on the move constantly, being in one place and killing time is absolutely not our thing.
We spent some time fowl hunting in Kainuu and we gladly got something to fill our freezer with. During the autumn we have even picked such amounts of yellow foot mushrooms that we had to invest on a new freezer. We have also visited the vast field areas of Southern Ostrobothnia and Northern fells.
Expectations were high concerning Maija’s participation in Junkkari. In so called Junkkari breeding inspection Maija got the highest grade Excellent. On field trial day she got Youth Class 1st prize 87 points and she made it to the finals. So the expectations were fulfilled! This young lady has shown great potential by now and we are sure that she is ready for even bigger challenges as she gets older.

At handler’s command, the dog flushes the flock in an excellent manner. After flushing the birds gun is fired, the dog remains still and calm. Retrieving: when returning and leaving the bird to the handler, the bird falls out of the dog’s mouth. Otherwise impeccable performance.
Sussu and Möhkö have also been enjoying themselves and hunting with us, but their ‘hunting trial career’ is though over as they belong to the ‘older category’. We might pop up in some nearby hunting trials with them but we’ll see…
