Kennel Ruskakedon

Kennel Ruskakedon is a small family kennel, located in Vihti, 50 km from Helsinki to west.

We breed Hungarian short-haired pointers (vizslas) for hunting. Our goal is to breed dogs with good hunting and working abilities, taking the health issues, temperament and robust conformation into account.

Hunting with Vizsla

We are members of Finnish Kennel Club, Geman Pointer Club (the official breed club for hungarian vizslas in Finland), Kainuu pointing dog club and Uusimaa Pointing Dog Club (Uudenmaan kanakoiraharrastajat).

During the hunting seasons we spend most of the time hunting with our vizslas. Hunting trials are an essential part of our dog hobby. Our hunting grounds are located in Kainuu and Southern Ostrobothnia. Silent forests and extensive field areas are the highlights of the year. Our point of view is that a happy dog is the best reward of all. A successful hunting day or well performed training crowns our hobby.

Our kennel name Ruskakedon is officially registered in Päivi´s name but in a matter of fact we both, Päivi and Pekka, have lost our hearts (and all of our spare time) to this fascinating hobby.
